Unit of Italy (and Italians) Italy (not really, but let's pretend it is) celebrates its unity.
Whether we like it or not, history is made of situations in which states are formed and break up. We formed 150 years ago. And for this, personally, I'm happy. I feel, not just today, linked to my country. Even when the fiercely critical, even when they hatched the worst features (and there are, I do not make the list only because I forgot ...), even when definitely someone I would want, because it happens to go away. I was born in Italy, Piedmont, so maybe in me somewhat flowing 'renaissance of blood, mixed with the blood of the partisans and Resistance. For me, the idea of \u200b\u200bthe state has its own reason. Higher than some want to reduce political achievements as the constitutionally guaranteed rights, fundamental freedoms, the rule of law.
Yesterday, an emotional President of the Republic (as seen on TV) gave me the chills ...
Celebrate the best of our history ... this is the right attitude. Thank you President!
But let the festivities ... as a bit 'in all markets, yesterday in Turin, where the resurgence breathes vividly, the first capital of united Italy, there was a "Night tricolor" he was going to regret the mythical white nights of the Winter Olympics five years ago. Concerts, fireworks, a special light installation on the Mole.
speak more than 100 thousand people in the streets, who braved the rain, were spilled into the center of Turin, magical and elegant, austere and once again become, in recent years, aware of his past.
I could miss a party like this? I was in Turin, but in fact the evening was different.
say that I celebrated in an alternative way: the right side of the bed, the North. On the left side, the South births to 850 km (as the crow flies).
Viva Unity of Italy and the Italians.
