Vindur í hárinu ... (Naked, with the wind in your hair)
I Sigur Rós are one of my musical legends. More correctly, perhaps I should say that a myth is Jón Þór Birgisson , known as Jónsi, lead singer of the group. This is a rare case of a prolific and versatile musician, artist, even as a soloist in 2009 released an album made with her boyfriend, Alex Somers, full of sound attractive (come back to it, for those interested in the disc is titled Riceboy Sleeps ), to arrive in 2010 Go , sublime work which, in this case, you should treat it further.
Personally, I never worried about the language: the music is so charming, involves you with instrumental sounds, often warm and mellow, sometimes mysterious and rarefied, the voice of Jónsi, timbre acute and penetrating, he weaves enchanting melodies and beautiful ... what are the words?
Many of the titles are also unreadable and unpronounceable: Icelandic writing is complex, full of characters with whom I have little familiarity.
One of my favorite album has a title that I can not repeat: í eyrum við South Med spilum endalaust, which means (I trust the internet sites) With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly. I can only advise.
For those accustomed to the sounds of Sigur Rós, the first part can be in contrast: colorful sounds, rhythm and carefree, I remember the warm air of spring.
And in fact, already the album cover reveals the feeling of freedom and warmth, evoking a day outdoors, in nature. On the other hand, one could define a cover naturist . How is the video of the album's first single, Gobbledigook , a hymn of joy, enriched by an aura and ancestral ritual, marked by the use of percussion that shamanic call.
Listening is enthralling, compelling the pace.
Gobbledigook from Arni & Kinski on Vimeo .
This is probably the imagery that has inspired the pair of directors Arni & Kinski in developing the video, in collaboration with Ryan McGinley , visionary photographer famous for his photographs of nude, almost always captured in natural settings: the bodies immature, imperfect, out of the norm of traditional beauty.

is to be marveling in the face of so artistic eclecticism, would venture to say that this is a genius, every project is a combination of Jónsi mixing sounds, colors, music and images, web design, a result that is always very engaging.
Most of the songs of Sigur Rós are Icelandic: fortunately there are websites that provide accurate translations of the most famous songs.

course, the text is important for a complete understanding of the work, not only in terms of sound. In this specific case, however, are attracted by the sound of words, regardless of their objective meaning, I remain fascinated by the atmosphere they create.

From my point of view, this is a fascinating work, who knows how to transpose the image and sound substrate that enhances the freedom related to the nude body in nature, without malice, without false modesty. Satisfying, perfectly, the philosophy of the purest naturism, lived as maximum freedom, in total respect of his body and that of others.

Things That Doctors Can Find Through Blood
some spark in the night ... (Elie Wiesel)
calls them "the Righteous Among the Nations". You know their names, for most members in the register of honor at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem. Some trees are planted in their memory and form a singular path and disturbing: you walk and get back your faith, though sad, human.
confess that, personally, their history is not part of mine. I have not met anyone in my path, and certainly not during the war. Not one of our Christian neighbors risked their lives to receive, conceal, save a jew friend or her children. I will always remember our last march to the station: the city, under a spring sky, it seemed so quiet, not at all sad to see us leave, off into the unknown.
But elsewhere there were those who helped Jews. In the Netherlands and Poland, France and Italy: the evil raging all over occupied Europe, but everywhere the people resisted him and extend a charitable hand to the victims abandoned to the enemy and death.
[...] How to explain these human gestures? What attribute the boldness, compassion and generosity of some, while others, often a majority, they opted for collaboration with the executioner, for abetting, or simply a convenient indifference? How to understand the selflessness of a few individuals, when society was dominated his surroundings and enraged by terror, cowardice and hate?
Studying their stories, so simple and so different, you will discover with astonishment that their job, freely chosen, was both easier and harder than previously thought. More difficult? Do not forget two things: the power of the bloody and cruel regime and the solitude of his opponents. In some places, the Germans punished with imprisonment and death anyone who had housed the Jews on the run. The informers were not lacking. Reporting a neighbor was a frequent occurrence, and often well rewarded. Accept a Jewish family or a child jew various risks involved. [...]
As the victims themselves, their pimps who are vulnerable, living alone and on alert. They could not rely on a complicated environment or on an underground movement around them. Taking the side of the victims were put under their sign. Suddenly, knew the fear and trembling, but also the dignity of the sacrifice accepted.
That said, we insist that the choice of human behavior it was relatively easy. One need not be heroic or crazy to feel pity for an abandoned child. Just open a door, provide a document or a piece of bread, enough to want to watch, listen, thrilled at the sight of so much misery, so much misery and agony.
Yes, to be "right", ie for ragging the apex of the human, at times quai enough human remains, namely for those sick and those who were hurt, many who cry about it went to a certain death, reaching out to children who hunted and hungry army of steel crushed day after day.
The "Righteous", who were they? Be common to most. Priests and nuns, peasants and workers, doctors and merchants, artisans and elementary teachers: a few celebrities, No celebrity among them.
[...] "I have seen, - Anton Schmidt wrote in his latest letter to the family - I saw it as two hundred, three hundred Jews were shot, I saw how children were massacred ... By helping the Jews, I have done simply as a human being who did not want to hurt anybody. " You'll recognize this need for modesty, this sincere humility, in all the rescuers of Jews. No big words, no bombastic slogans. [...]
Yad Vashem said to have about five hundred names of "just" who tried to save Jews during the Occupation [now the number of "Righteous" recognized by Yad Vashem is 22,216]. There are many? To so many countries? For six million victims?
We are cautious. Do not exaggerate. Are these just justifying our faith in humanity, they should, on another level, equally justify the suspicion against the company. For an Oscar Schindler, many collaborators? For Raoul Wallenberg, how many viewers indifferent? For Anton Schmidt, who volunteers in the divisions of the SS? For compassionate and generous soul, who szmalcownik, these vile scum who walk the streets of occupied cities in search of Jews bear Aryan papers?
The following passage is from the book "Believing or not believing" by Elie Wiesel (Ed. Giuntina), so I intend to commemorate Memorial Day, recalling the terrible horrors of the extermination of millions of innocent people, victims of cruelty, ignorance, brutality and violence without limits of which may be capable human being.
I've been to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust museum, and saw the Avenue of the Righteous, mentioned by Wiesel. That's why I chose this song: there is the possibility of rebel violence, to work for another perspective, not to bow to the logic the majority, when it requires to be trampled on the dignity of man. History shows that this has occurred. The courage to act for change is a source of hope.

Quotes About Wasting Your Time On Someone
Education (us) to sexuality (as say the Pope)
The inspiration for this post gives me the recent statement of Mr. Joseph Alois Ratzinger, alias Benedictus XVI to the faithful (and more) of the Catholic Church, the annual meeting with the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See.
What did he say this time?
"I can not ignore another threat to religious freedom of families in some European countries, where tax is participation in sex education courses or civil that convey conceptions of life and the person alleged neutral but in fact reflect anthropology contrary to faith and right reason . "

"I can not ignore another threat to religious freedom of families in some European countries, where tax is participation in sex education courses or civil that convey conceptions of life and the person alleged neutral but in fact reflect anthropology contrary to faith and right reason . "
A head of state speaks to an audience of more than 170 ambassadors to stress that does not go well at all to teach sex education or community because it threatens to instill in the poor learners who knows what aberrant anthropology.
On this point, I would say throw the notion that talking about sex can lead to something contrary to the faith, but we want to ask what is the right reason ? Thanks to reason, human beings have faced life on planet Earth in a rational, scientific, objective. Without unnecessary recourse to metaphysics. Why talk of the office. Ratzinger?
This post does not want to be a polemic on the positions of the Church, because it would otherwise be a sterile accusations, what is more appropriate. I gained my antithetical beliefs, I do spokesman. But at a certain point, one must always stop chasing every statement of the pope. That the Church to defend a certain vision of the world has known. And then we live in Italy, I am convinced that in other countries where there is less talk of any externalization of Pope & co., There is also a different perception of the role of the Church and its role as the address of conscience and, alas, policy.
We come to the tragic figure: today in Italy, in 2011, in the third millennium ... there is no law on sex education.
Do not believe us? See ad hoc sites, look in the archives of the House and Senate (there is proposed law), no source specific rules. Of course, with school autonomy is possible that sex education is introduced in the curriculum, but it certainly is not imposed as mandatory by the legislature. Frequently, sexual education projects are included in health education, perhaps relegated to the science teacher. In the best cases, schools make agreements with the ASL and organize a few meetings.
Needless to say, in many other European countries, the situation is diametrically opposed mandatory sexual education in Denmark, Sweden (introduced in 1956!), Finland, Germany, Holland, France ...
But what should serve as sex education? am not an expert in pedagogy, I am not a psychologist. To answer, I speak of my personal experience.
My parents never told me much. When my brother came into the world, gave me information so general ("Dad gave Mom a seed") could not understand anything, but without going into detail.
course I was, and I'm very curious, so it was not difficult to discover what was the mechanism "real": talking with other children, reading encyclopedias drawings (there was no internet, the specific for those who do not remember, or do not know), learning here and there, without uniformity, and especially without that information came clear, precise, unambiguous and above all free from any connotations of morality or immorality.
do not criticize my parents, it can not be perfect. One day, wandering here and there in one of the libraries at home, I found a book on sex education in design. They had bought some for me (I hope not to serve them): it was barely visible in a corner of a shelf.
was useful, however, there was talk of the human body, sex, pregnancy, etc..
I went to search for the book, titled You know how babies are born (Fagerström G. - G. Hansson, A. Mondadori Editore), a comic book of 1977, published in Italy in 1983 (and it cost 8,000 lire). Immediate, simple, delicate and discreet, explicit images, but designed to be natural and reassuring. The story is that of an ideal family in which a father and a mother are having to tell the sex of the two children, since it is coming third brother. Now that I have found and revived, I'll keep this book an excellent tool to help the dialogue with the children about sex, pace of cabbages, and bees storks.
Then came the infamous sex education classes to the average: one hour, maybe two, with a medical clinic ASL. Lectures, some information, answer questions on cards collected anonymous, no brochures, no interactivity. In terms of planning, a disaster.
I just remember the attempt, appreciable, the Italian teacher who had read a book in class Pitzorno White, Extraterrestrial equal : gender differences do not count (could not count as an alien which will know the sex ... denebiani only 50 years), but in reality to know if a is male or female influences the way we relate and behave in society. It was not sex education, but at least you had the chance to tackle a sensitive topic such as the differences, prejudice and discrimination. Very soft, though.
(Pitzorno I have read other books that I liked much more: it's because reading a book in class destroys any work, however Extraterrestrial equal I particularly liked)
I about to conclude, why you are scared in dealing with the issue of sex in school? We live in 2011, we realize it? Not to mention that ignorance on the issues of prevention of sexually transmitted diseases is disarming, I'll talk in the future.
I know the argument is trivial "we live in the modern era": belief backward, obscurantist, irrational religions, false shame, the malice, ignorance are still obstacles to overcome.
So I think it would be appropriate to introduce mandatory sex education (well done, with appropriate teaching methods, meetings held by experts not only as experts on the subject, but also able to communicate effectively with young people) in schools. Sex young people speak with no problems, but it is not really all that information correctly.
At school we all go, even those who come from family situations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds in which the subject is taboo, are not addressed or is addressed in a distorted manner.
With all due respect Mr. Ratzinger and all the many characters that fill the media, places of worship, parliaments, squares, talk shows, libraries, etc..
The human being is free, but must be able to achieve full self-knowledge and the world . What harm is there will never be in the know a little 'more about sex? No one will ever live apart sex, is incontrovertible.
And now, to raise a little 'mood of those who had the patience to get to the end of the post, here is a video of my favorite sexologist explains that the sexual act: a resounding Anna Marchesini alias Merope Generosa. Other than the boring high school class!

Listen Ella Fitzgerald addictive
Coincidentally, I found myself in possession of the 16 discs that make up "The Complete Song Books" of Ella Fitzgerald: I do not know if there is such a thing ever happened, but the first listen I was born an addiction is difficult to eradicate.
If I knew that these were the consequences, I never started.
Especially when I'm going to let me go into the arms of Morpheus (metaphorically ... I mean I'm going to sleep, do not know any Morpheus in the flesh), I start with the idea "I listen to a maximum of two songs" and I meeting after an hour that are still with the earbuds in your ears, caressed by suave and stylistically perfect voice of the great Ella.
I particularly like the songs of three discs devoted to the interpretation of the reasons George and Ira Gershwin; some pearls?
But not for me, first of all: famous song (to listen to the version of Chet Baker), an intense and melancholy.
Slap That Bass revolves around a fundamental fact: the rate creates happiness.

not continue in this series of songs, otherwise it ends up that the syndrome of dependence on Ella Fitzgerald also hit the blog ... so, more I listen, the more I can not help it.
conclude, however, with a account on one of the songs always Gershwin Song Books: Embraceable you.
Probably my romantic soul is in this poignant melody food to feed the fantasies and dreams, but I think that if ever I could dedicate this song ...

Υάκινθος ... the perfect flower.
Today I wanted to enhance my study of a plant, a living being on the desk, an element of peace, color, remind me that the relationship with the natural order of the world, in a discreet way.
Simplicity is what prompted me to choose (at the supermarket you can find everything) a hyacinth bulb .

The flower in question I've always liked: I do not mean to botany, but I love plants. In particular, I have in mind its heady scent and intense. The choice would be
could also fall on a simple plant fat, but that was it.
On reflection, however, a ὐάκινθος is the right plant for a self-styled blogger named Ἀμφίων, is not it?
Seriously, the flower reminded me of a fascinating ancient Greek myth, you know?
There is a better version in Ovid's Metamorphoses.
Hyacinth was a Spartan youth loved by Apollo, the god had so lost his head to neglect its duties to accompany the hunt for love in the mountains, giving up a quiver and arrows and carrying nets and dogs, longaque Alit adsuetudine flammas, fed the flames of passion with his long intimacy.
One day, the two get naked and put some oil in order to compete in the discus throw (in ancient Greece were conducted in the sports-style naturist ).
Lance for the first Apollo: The disc rips the air, falls to the ground. Hyacinth ran after to pick it up, but the hard bounces and hits the young face. In some versions, it is narrated that Zephyr, he also love the score (which at this point would be exceedingly charming, to lose his head two deities), blinded by jealousy deflects the launch with a gust of wind.
In both versions, the tragedy takes place: Hyacinth dies.
Ovid writes that Apollo, torn by the pain of having caused the death of the beloved, would die, but can not do it because he is a god and is forced to immortality: "will always be in my heart and on my lips" .

Vbapokemon Trading Card Game Free
a coffee, maybe. I'm not sure that this is the topic of the post
If you type coffee on google, the site tells you: about 5,970,000 results (0.11 seconds). That the issue be dealt with, length, depth, no doubt.
So, I'll add a post to the ocean of words that revolve around the famous drink: will affect someone? I do not know, certainly not offer nothing new to the subject.
Coffee is a beverage produced by grinding ....
enough, this is not the purpose of the post! I received an invitation for a coffee ... in a single day, because I drank too many (and I have to decide).
The post will address the dynamics of the invitation for a coffee: I did not even understand it myself, never mind! And then it is too early, there would be too much to say, I have yet to become a blogger adult. All calls are still
necessarily be interpreted according to the circumstances and context.
But then, what is this post?
I will not talk even when I started drinking the coffee, this time at the restaurant (I was 13/14 years?) With my family, where I ordered coffee after a meal, immediately making me grumble from a waitress (the thing left me somewhat puzzled, it is true that we were in Tuscany and the Tuscans are known to not conceal ... but why would he have to comment on? So my parents, instead of giving me a reason, they said that it was not a habit who do not diligently drank ...).
From a certain point I started taking caffeine regularly, that's all.
Surely I do not want to analyze the health issues related to the (presumed) caffeine addiction: this is why there are categories of Italian television, I believe that TG2 Health has about hours of programming (but I could be wrong, because it is a injury: Never look TG2 Health and if it happened to me, he swears he will speak of the prostate).
The art and the art of coffee or coffee? I feel this topic closer to my sensibility, one might indulge. But do not talk about the coffee in the literature, why not, in the theater. Like the time I attended the representation of the "Coffee Shop" by Goldoni, a production which I liked, with an extraordinary Bonacelli Paul (it was 1998 ... but is it really spent all this time?)
Then there is the strange collection of cups of Illy that my gift received in 1994 (I checked the date, I never remember exactly), ushering in a season (short) collections.
cups Beautiful "art" of designer Luca Trazzi, hence the name Trazzine. Trying to publish the photo I find that the collection now stands at a whopping value: 550 € !
However, my favorite is certainly is the cup "Fire", which has a singular, as a bit 'disturbing image of red devil with horns and sharp teeth.
in the cup "Fire" but I never drank no coffee, but it does not I'll get.
And if you drink too much coffee? I have no trouble saying that I drink a lot: the truth is that I hate the politically correct speech and healthy "you should reduce", or "how do you drink coffee in the evening, then do not sleep", if I feel like, I prepare the coffee maker without scruples. Better not talk about it.
Rather look this funny video of Oldelaf et Monsieur D , a humorous musical group French.
Pour bien commencer
For me it would be impossible to start the day without caffeine For this reason, I hate to find myself in situations where, for logistical reasons, I can not deal with the trauma of getting out of bed supported by the aroma of coffee (the real one!). However, I would say that there is no need to talk. I have also mentioned that song Giuni Russo ( Atmosphere ) which speaks of the extraordinary tenderness of the riser to make the coffee for the person you love and himself. I would be redundant.
But we want to talk about what it would be nice that in Italy there are more local-style Starbucks? Purists will feel offended, but I do not dislike all types of drinking coffee, who cares if it is not "typical" Italian. In fact, I find it ridiculous to have to always ask for a expressed if it is not the type used in the place where I am. Never tried the coffee (in fact, kafa ) in the Balkans? It is not simply enjoy a drink, is a ritual. Slow, because the dust must be given time to settle on the bottom: you could not drink with the enthusiasm typical of certain mornings when the bartender did not have time to put the cup on the counter that are already out of the room and go where you go. We might quibble about how to make coffee, the technique is not easy and requires experience. We could, indeed, perhaps in another post.
What I wanted to talk? I received an invitation to drink coffee, and this is a fact. And then? I do not remember what was the argument I had in mind.
Then there is the strange collection of cups of Illy that my gift received in 1994 (I checked the date, I never remember exactly), ushering in a season (short) collections.
in the cup "Fire" but I never drank no coffee, but it does not I'll get.
Rather look this funny video of Oldelaf et Monsieur D , a humorous musical group French.
,
Ma petite journée, Et me
réveiller
Moi je pris a café

What Episodes Are Towelie In
Airport: between adventure and voyeurism
I like flying. In the sense that I love to board the aircraft, as a passenger to travel.
Since the first time I took a plane I had fifteen years, and decreed that this was the absolute best way to get around.
In this regard, I can say that I recently reviewed the train (but only if Frecciarossa). But it is not based solely on transport efficiency explain my fondness for aircraft.
I like to travel by air because of the ritual that entails.
enter the airport, check-in, boarding the plane, wait in the waiting rooms of airports: all situations that I probably cause a discharge of endorphins and make me feel good.
Certainly the journey itself is a situation in which I am very at ease (except in the preparation of the luggage, which remains a very critical moment, mostly because they are still undecided about situations, especially weather, which find on arrival).
But the air of the airport is amazing. My absolute favorite is the airport of Paris - Charles de Gaulle, its architecture air, light fascinates me. So, that is fine if I can schedule a stop there.
Recently, I tried the airport of Porto - Francisco de Sá Carneiro: bright, modern, functional. There was even a corner with live music in front of the gates. A pleasant way to wait for boarding. They played good jazz, which is ideal for a little careful listening, a carpet of sound discretion.
Wait for the start (unless there is a delay, or the flight has been removed, or there is yet another strike) is also a way to see the world, the faces and bodies of human beings who hang out around airports .
This opportunity is especially true in international airports: I like to linger on your clothes how to behave, the sounds of languages, a bit 'as it happens in big cities, but with luck that people are all concentrated in a place that you can take a look overall.
And again ... why do it looking at his watch constantly, perhaps giving the impression of a hurry. Take half as the plane is not like waiting for the tram ("But how late? Or wait until next I set foot?"). Some, however, behave the same way.
The most unbearable are the exhibitionists tourists who speak out loud, they move in groups and, if they are to return from the trip, entertaining the other passengers waiting with tales so vivid and full of details as for anything interesting, indeed, annoying (I fall into banality to say that I always the Italians are convinced that we see more of our compatriots abroad, because we tend to recognize them).
I do not want, but this category of people I always ruin a little 'poetry of waiting.
Airports are a world to explore with curiosity. I do not hardly ever get bored in waiting time of loading.
boarding which marks the second phase of because I love to fly, perhaps the central motif.
But we'll talk later.

The same situation occurs in the queue for check-in, but since I got into the habit of doing business online, I have not much followed this practice (at most going to the bench for the suitcase to take on board).
Voyeurism anthropological , I would define it.
It is also nice to study the habits of travelers, what they do in the meantime, if you read and what, if they listen music (as I'd like to know the musical tastes of those who cross my eyes with the ipod on, not being able to know, I guess related aspect, certainly as unscientific method), as they line up. I never understood the dynamics of why people get up and go in the queue announcement of opening of the gate. With the exception of low-cost, scheduled on the place is assigned, because long-standing and unnecessarily?
